A list of Muslim organizations condemning the killing of Ambassador Christopher Stevens, its a shameful act and condemnation is the right thing to do. I was on CBS News and have issued the condemnations in behalf of the World Muslim Congress. I am pleased to include a few press releases that I was able to see – from Islamic Speakers Bureau, ISNA, ICNA, MPAC, CAIR and Islamic Center of Maryland. It is a good habit to include the URL on the top or bottom of the news release.

Islamic Center of Maryland Condemns the Senseless Act of Violence and Loss of Lives

Our hearts go out to the families and friends of those who lost their lives in this utterly despicable act of violence. Ambassador Chris Stevens and the other three Americans exemplify our nation’s commitment to freedom, justice, and partnership with nations and people around the globe, and stand in stark contrast to those who callously took their lives.

American Muslims condemn the killing of Ambassador Christopher Stevens

The Islamic Speakers Bureau of Dallas-Fort Worth announced: “…It is a greater defamation of the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad and the Qur’an to react with violence and murder of innocent people– one of the greatest sins in Islam–than any claimed insult from an Islamophobic film. Those who responded in such a manner should instead study the Prophet Muhammad’s example in the face of harm. On a daily basis, Muhammad was exposed to demeaning abuse for 13 years during the early years of his mission. His response was not to return insult for insult or hurt for hurt, but to pray for his persecutors and overlook their insults.” http://www.examiner.com/article/american-muslims-condemn-the-killing-of-ambassador-christopher-stevens?cid=rss
