Should Muslims panic?
This week I have spent time with several Republican Congressmen, they are doing their best to prevent chaos, most of them are not happy with the way things are going and the unending Executive orders that are coming through which are not Republican! The good news is they have agreed to support our initiatives in the attached card. We have to take bold steps to restore harmony in America; we cannot bitch if we don’t act.
Thanks to the Jewish community, they are going out of their way to stand with Muslims, and embarrassingly. Muslim reciprocation is minimal. This is a wakeup call. What are you girls and guys doing? Please roll your sleeves and join, together we can save America. I need at least 10 Muslims from the Washington Area to be a part of this. Please send me an email to [email protected]
How do we build a cohesive America, an America where no American has to live in tension or fear of the other? How do we achieve that? By coming together frequently and knowing each other. Meetings leads to acquaintance and acquaintance leads to acceptance of the otherness of others and eventually we all will stand up for each other and safeguard our constitution, the safest thing to do.
Please make an effort to attend these events, or get someone to join us.
01/29/17 Sunday 2:00 to 4:15 PM – 12th Annual Reflections on Holocaust and Genocides
01/31/17 Tuesday 1:00 to 3:30 PM – Understanding the Essence of Christianity (1 of 13 Seminars)
04/09/17 Sunday 2:00 to 4:30 PM – Do American Muslims Want Sharia?
05/14/17 Sunday 2:00 to 4:30 PM – Does Quran promote Violence?
All the above events are the initiatives of the Center for Pluralism except this one:
1/27/17 Tuesday 3:00 to 4:30 PM – Security in the Horn of Africa (Dr. Syyed Saeed’s son in law)
The Center for Pluralism is an initiative of American Muslims, but it is not a Muslim organization. However, it is committed to pave the way for Muslims to become a part of the American story just as it is committed to do the same for others religious groups. What does it take for Muslims to be a part of the society?

It is time for Muslims to take the steps necessary to allay the fears of fellow Americans and undo the tensions, remove the suspicions and restore trust among Americans. This is what a Muslim ought to be; a conflict mitigater and a goodwill nurturer.
