A short note by Mike Ghouse
The role of Muslims is to mitigate conflicts and nurture goodwill. I fully agree with the author that many Muslims have reduced Islam to mere rituals and have forgotten the values it represents—namely, the promotion of peace and justice for all of humanity, encompassing 8.5 billion people. We have been chosen to share the wisdom of the Quran to foster a cohesive world where every individual feels secure. That is our role: to be peacemakers. What can we do about Gazza? I will write to the embassies of the Muslim-majority nations to get together and take non-violent, peaceful actions; one of them is to pull all the Ambassadors of 56 countries from the nations that are supporting genocide; it should hurt their pocketbooks and employment to get back on becoming nations standing for Justice of the Palestinians and all other people, Muslim or not.
