I am a Jew. A very proud Jew. A Jew that has seen with his own eyes the hate that many in this world have for his own people. I fight against anti-Semitism every single day, as I do against all forms of bigotry and racism. I am also a Jew that loves Israel unconditionally and desperately wants her to be at peace with her Palestinian and Arab Neighbors.
Donald Trump has said that if he were elected President of the United States he would register Muslims in this country. As a descendant of those who were once forced to register and wear badges just for being a Jew in Europe, even before the Holocaust, I simply cannot just stand idly by. If that were to happen, which is highly unlikely, I will be registering as a Muslim-in solidarity-even though I do not and will not be practicing Islam.
If Muslims will be registered in this country then where does it end? This must not be allowed to happen. We all must take action. Do not wait and be the last one to speak out against this. I will leave you with a very famous quote by MARTIN NIEMÖLLER
