Dr. Naik, I appeal to you to heed the appeal from S.M. Pasha
At the stake is a whole system, you have a choice to save your tail or do the right thing.
If you make the announcement that India is your home and you are coming back and are willing to discuss, debate and face the issues, more Indians (Hindus and Muslims) will be with you. If not you will keep running from places to places and create more difficulties for Muslims.
Despite what is happening now, India is the best country in the world to live, provided we participate and shape it and we will.
No human is a Rakshas, the big evil devil. Yogi Adityanath is sworn in as Chief Minister, and it is creating a fearful environment in Uttar Pradesh. He has said a lot of hateful things to others in the name of Hinduism, and I am sure most Hindus would not permit him to speak in behalf of Hinduism; of course he can always speak in his own name. We are a free nation and free speech is one’s inalienable right.
Make a pledge that you are not in the business of converting people, and you should not, there is no need for it. Allah did not ask you to convert any one, if you still want to do it, do it in your name like, but no in Allah’s name or Indian Muslims name. Don’t make your actions be a source of resentment for Muslims; it is your deed and not Muslims.
There is no need to prove that other faiths are of lesser value, you have caused the damage and now it is your responsibility to fix it. First thing for you to do is to secure life for every Indian including Muslims. No one has to live in apprehension or fear of the other. It is a test for you now, if you were for Islam or for name and wealth.
UP election results are not the end of civilization, in fact it is the beginning of it. The promise made by Lord Krishna cannot go wrong, he said that whenever adharma reigns in, he will emerge among us and restore the dharma. It is also promised in Quran, that to every nation and tribe, God sends a peacemaker to restore sanity; of course there is no more Prophethood. We can safely say that it is the truth and it is the law of equilibrium – all things have to move towards a balance for survival.
What is dharma? In the present context, it is honoring and respecting every human God has created. It is God’s deliberate choice to make us into different nations tribes and religions and let’s honor that.
It is one’s duty to care for fellow beings. Mahabharata 5:1517, “Do not do to others what would cause pain if done to you.” Prophet Muhammad on the other hand reaffirms, “None of you truly believes until you wish for others what you wish for yourself.” As a pluralist, I am tempted to quote all the beautiful scriptures, but given the paper space, I will keep it to Hinduism and Islam at this time.
We have a lot of repair to be done without compromising or without being confrontational. You may save your tail elsewhere with security guards, but think of ordinary Muslims who have no guards and are vulnerable.

AN OPEN LETTER TO Dr. ZAKIR NAIK Saheb
Assalamualaikum-o-Rahmathullahi Barkathuhu!
Despite not being a student of any “DEENI MADRASA”, you proved to be a perfect aalim-e-deen” {Islamic scholar}. This is something unique and outstanding – Alhamdulillah. The anti-Muslims and anti-Islam Right Wing, fanatically communal, BJP Government of India has leveled baseless charges against you and is moving heaven and earth, leaving no stone unturned, to somehow incarcerate you. In simpler terms, it is bent upon throwing you in jail, by fair means if possible and by foul ones, if need be. Your admirers too are being harassed and intimated thro’ diverse unlawful means. This being the present true state of affairs, it ill-behoves your goodself to seek and obtain refuge in a foreign land. You are a Mujahidh in the truest and widest sense and so it is your bonden duty to boldly face your enemy/enemies and fight against injustice. Is not facing boldly an unjust tyrant and calling upon him to put an end to atrocities, a first class jihadh?
We appeal to you to return to India as early as possible and fight your battle through all the available legal ways and means. We request you not to turn down our plea.
